Gold for Baumschlager Eberle

Thirteen buildings received a German Sustainable Building Council (DGNB) certificate or pre-certificate at the Consense 2012 trade fair in Stuttgart. This brings the number of buildings in Germany and abroad that have received an award from the DGNB to over 400. Baumschlager Eberle were awarded a certificate in gold for the Centurion Commercial Center in HafenCity, which was presented to the project leader, Carmen Gottschall (BE Lochau). This building near Sandtorpark with its characteristic glass facade met the six DGNB quality criteria, achieving a fulfilment level of 86 per cent. It thus confirmed the expectations raised by the pre-certificate during the planning stage.

The sites of the newly certified buildings are spread across the country from Hamburg via Lower Saxony and Hesse to Saxony, North Rhine-Westphalia, Baden-W├╝rttemberg and Bavaria. The prestigious awards were presented on 20 June 2012 by DGNB President, Prof. Manfred Hegger, and DGNB Managing Director, Dr. Christine Lemaitre.
