Prof. Dr. Beisi Jia


is a consultant in the Hong Kong office. He is an associate professor in Architecture Design, Housing and History at University of Hong Kong since 1996. He is the joint coordinator for Working Commission W104-Open Building Implementation in International Council for Research and Innovation in Building and Construction (CIB). Since 1993 he has been an architectural design consultant with C-H Architectural & Planning Design (International) Limited. Beisi holds a Bachelor Degree of Architecture from Nanjing Institute of Technology (NIT China) and a Postgraduate Diploma from Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (ETH Zurich). He obtained a Ph.D in Architecture History and Theory in 1990 through a joint program of NIT and ETH Zurich. From 1990-1993, he held the position of Lecturer in Architectural Design in Southeast University, Nanjing, China. From 1993 to 1996, Beisi was a Research fellow and Post-Doctorate at ETH Zurich, Switzerland.
