Austrian Environmental Award AGPB for "Europa" in Levallois-Perret

At Baumschlager Eberle Architekten, climate protection is also a top priority in professional life. The managing directors of the Vienna office - Julia Wildfeuer and Jakob Pesendorfer - therefore represented the heads of the Paris office, Anne Speicher and Mathias Bernhardt, at the Austrian Green Planet Building Award (AGPB) ceremony in the Vienna Chamber of Commerce. Astrid Fixl-Pummer (Austrian Foreign Trade) and Henriette Spyra, MA (Climate Ministry) recently presented the certificate to our managers.

This year's prize went to the ‘Europa Levallois-Perret’ project. The revitalisation of an old office building impressed the awarding authorities, the Federal Ministry for Climate Protection and ADVANTAGE AUSTRIA, above all with the following aspects, which lead to greater comfort and longevity of the building:

  • Reuse of existing building materials in the spirit of the circular economy
  • District heating and cooling
  • Significant reduction of the primary energy requirement
  • Increase and creation of green and open spaces
  • Modular and use-neutral office space
