Railway station Hamburg-Altona - A first price / third rang

The international competition is decided.

 

The new construction of the long-distance railway station in Hamburg-Altona for around 360 million euros is one of the most important current projects for urban development and transport infrastructure in Hamburg.
The jury went through a total of 13 competition entries that had been received after a Europe-wide invitation to tender. Baumschlager Eberle Architekten where one of the three first prize winners. The jury highlighted the “incredibly elegant defined office building” designed by Baumschlager Eberle Architekten.

 

After a revision of the design, that was asked by the jury, Baumschlager Eberle Architekten received the third rang.
