Our project "Peterhof, Alpe Furx" in Zwischenwasser (Vorarlberg, Austria) - a restaurant and 10 holiday chalets - received a "Special Mention" in the category "Excellent Architecture" of the German Design Award. Here's a quote from the jury report: "The ensemble is characterised by the careful handling of the terrain, the material wood and the reinterpretation of a traditional building typology."
The project of our office in Lustenau exemplifies how tourism businesses in the Alps can respond to the changed framework conditions (environment) and needs of guests. Such an investment in the future is also for the benefits for the region: 59 of 62 companies for the construction of "Peterhof, Alpe Furx" are local firms based in Vorarlberg.
