The final design for the revamp of the Post-Areal has been confirmed! After a revision of the two winning designs, which emerged from a urban planning competition for the Bismarck district in Würzburg, the choice of the jury was unanimous for the design of Baumschlager Eberle Architekten in collaboration with the landscape architect Planstatt Senner from Überlingen.
New building complexes integrated in the already existing buildings
The Würzburg based Beethoven Group is developing an urban, mixed-use quarter for living, working and leisure on a 3.35 hectare site. Plans include offices, apartments, hotels and local amenities.
Start of construction & completion
The planned start of construction is 2020. In 2023 the new building and the renovation of the post office building will be completed in 2025.
