With its hilltop castle, museums full of art treasures, lively cultural scene and family atmosphere, this tiny landlocked country covering only 160 square kilometres is quite unique. We opened our first foreign office here in 1999 with the intention of translating the local building culture – with sensitivity – into contemporary architecture, adapting and developing tried and tested methods and persuading the local population to embrace innovation.
