      Charged with creating a scheme to fit a late 19C quarter of Paris, Baumschlager Eberle Architects designed a group of three buildings for office, local authority and residential use with courtyards, parks and pathways providing permeability and an urban feel. The project also scored high on environmental outputs.

      Aimed at young businesses with their own design ideas, Baumschlager Eberle Architects’ smart rental complex is designed to meet the current demand for highly flexible, affordable business space. Its open layout and informal feel have also proved popular.

      The brief for the Hilti Training Centre was to express the company’s values in architectural terms and meet a number of complex requirements in one coherent whole. In response, Baumschlager Eberle Architects created a clearly structured, multifunctional building that is both solid and elegant.

      Energy efficiency is often achieved by high-tech retrofits, but Baumschlager Eberle Architects have made 2226, their Lustenau HQ, a blueprint for the future: a building without air conditioning technology. It also offers architecture that is enduring and sustainable in both environmental and aesthetic terms.

      Asked to plan a new city quarter at the meeting point of two quite different existing neighbourhoods, Baumschlager Eberle Architects created an upmarket complex of three striking apartment blocks which are both separated and connected by landscaped grounds.
